ECL provides care and support services in Essex, Havering and West Sussex, supporting thousands of people to live Person-centred care entails granting patients both rights and responsibilities concerning their own care. Consequently health care has to see the patient as an active and responsible partner. This does not mean that the patient becomes a “customer”, to whom health care is required to deliver care entirely according to their specification. In health care, person-centered care is where the patients actively participate in their own medical treatment in close cooperation with the health professionals.
